Intro: During the progressive era, Theodore Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson strides with huge efforts to bring progressive reform.
Theodore Roosevelt : In 1901, Roosevelt was elected president at the age of forty three.
Regulating Industry
Square Deal: Theodore used this "Square Deal" to win the election. What the square deal was intended to do was to reduce inequality. This had great ties with the Sherman Anti-Trust Act as it stopped firms from having a monopoly. A great advantage he had was tackling the misuse of Military to combat strikes and protests.
